I'm a 28-year-old tax-paying, property-owning, jury-serving citizen of the United States of America, living its disenfranchised and constantly evolving capitol city, the District of Columbia. I work in the real estate industry, I believe in civil rights and civil liberties, take lots of photographs, do a lot of yoga, and am starting a few long-term projects documentation. I mostly use the Hipstamatic app on my iphone.
This blog will be here, hopefully, to document these projects:
- Development in Brookland, a neighborhood in Northeast Washington, D.C. where I just bought a 500-square-foot condo on the edge of a lot of exciting new real estate projects. I'm planning on publishing a lot of photos of this.
- Images of life and buildings in and around this city that I call home. And sometimes Manhattan & Brooklyn, where I went to college, and visit a few times a year, and other places I travel (mainly on the East Coast).
- My WindowFarm-- a two-tier vertical herb and vegetable garden I'm starting to grow in my sunny kitchen window, and other indoor planting projects.
- A journey of healing through yoga, as I start on a plan to train myself how to train other folks how to use yoga to quit smoking, and move towards more balanced health.
I also may rant about political rights for my current and native city -- chocolate city, the federal district. And the real folks who live, work, breathe, eat and are raised here, and that we, the people of our Nation's Capitol are more than this country thinks of its lawmakers.
