quiet mind yoga - radiate peace.

So much more awesome than being Student of the Week in 3rd grade, the wonderful owner of my studio, Quiet Mind, asked me to be the featured student of the month for May:

1) When and how did you start practicing yoga?
I took my first yoga class at poetry camp when I was 15, and have had an on again off again relationship with it ever since--taking a class here and there, following along in books, using the breath to help me sleep. I recommitted myself to a serious practice this past September, when I exchanged the unhealthy breathing of smoking cigarettes for the healthy breathing of yoga. I've happily switched addictions, not only do I come to my mat several time a week to connect movement and breath, body and mind, but I work on taking what I've learned inside of the studio, outside. I practice at home, in the car, at my desk.
